Stop your carrier from
throttling your hotspot.
Most carriers detect tethered traffic by looking at the TTL field on your packets. Change one number on your laptop and your tethered connection runs at the same speed as your phone.
How they catch you
Your phone decrements packet TTL from 64 to 63 when forwarding. The carrier sees 63 and flags it as tethered.
The fix
Set your laptop's default TTL to 65. After the phone decrements it, the carrier sees 64 — same as native phone traffic.
Safe and reversible
One OS-level command. No drivers, no root, no app on your phone. Reverts with a second command anytime.
What this app actually does
It walks you through the fix, gives you the exact command for your operating system, and then runs a real speed test so you can see the difference before and after.
The app doesn’t move any of your traffic — your OS does. We’re just the manual.
On most carriers, the TTL fix alone restores full LTE/5G speeds to tethered devices — often 5–20× faster than throttled hotspot.
